Climbing Mountains & Pebbles

My love for rock climbing began at the age of 19 in the summer of 2003. During an exceptionally emotionally tough time for myself and family, I wandered the neighborhood streets for escape and clarity. One chilly evening, moonlight evening, I discovered Indian Rock Park in Berkeley - a quartzite hill that is in the middle of a sleepy Berkeley residential community. Alone, I sat at the top and meditated to the view of San Francisco's lit city buildings afar on the horizon. I frequented this park often, and it became my place of solace. Fearless kids scrambling fearlessly up the rock sparked my inner fear of heights and tapped into my childhood curiosity of exploration. With the pair of converse shoes I had on, the rock tested my physical, and mental limits. Bouldering was simple and beautiful - just you, nature, and the harmonious movement that brings everything together. Climbing, as a vehicle, as brought me to some of the most amazing places: Yosemite, Utah, Bishop, CA. Tahoe, CA. Climbing has blessed me with an eclectic, uplifting, creative, amazing, and supportive community who are always pushing the envelope in everything they do. <3
